Australia's largest independent fuel operator Puma Energy has today announced the completion of the acquisition of Queensland's Central Combined Group (“CCG”).
The acquisition of CCG, which trades as Fuel Central and Lube Central, will add 18 service stations and five fuel depots throughout Mackay, Gladstone and Emerald to Puma Energy's portfolio.
The acquisition will increase Puma Energy's exposure to the growing mining industry fuel market in regional Queensland, and increase its national service station footprint following its acquisition of Ausfuel and Neumann Petroleum in February.
Independently-owned Puma Energy is also building a new petroleum import terminal at the Port of Mackay, and the investments in regional Queensland are expected to see jobs created as the business expands into the region.
Commenting on today’s completion, Ray Taylor, Puma Energy Australia's General Manager said:
"Puma Energy has acquired three very complementary businesses and we are looking forward to bringing them together and providing much-needed services to central Queensland.”
