New Puma service station delivers more than just fuel to Truganina

A new artisan café, gym, rest facilities and more fuel competition have arrived in Truganina today, with the grand opening of a new Puma service station. 

The site, located at 211 Leakes Rd, on the corner of Palmers Road, is Puma’s first greenfield site in the state, and has transformed unused farmland into a bustling service centre offering much more than just fuel.

Puma Energy Australia General Manager Ray Taylor said the service station would provide valuable services to the 10,000 travellers who pass through the region each month, and a special opening discount just for local residents.

“We are delighted to be opening in Truganina, and are offering the local community 5c/L off until August when they register instore or on Puma’s website,” Mr Taylor said.

“As well as fuel, this complex also offers a gym, two food outlets, 50 car parks, and rest facilities – bringing conveniently located services to the community and its visitors.

“The increase in competition is a good thing for consumers, and we are hoping the success Puma has enjoyed all over the country continues with this new facility.”

Mr Taylor said the new Truganina service station was the first in Victoria to feature Puma’s 7^th Street café.

“The style, feel and what is offered in a 7^th Street is different to the average fuel station snack-stop, going above and beyond what our customers today are calling for,” Mr Taylor said.

Mr Taylor said the new service station had already boosted the local economy.

“During construction more than 100 tradespeople from the local region were employed and the new service station alone will provide around 10 full- and part-time, ongoing roles at Puma Truganina,” Mr Taylor said.

“We are committed to providing quality service and convenience to Australians, and the Truganina service station allows us to continue to serve our customers in high traffic areas where demand is great.”

The Truganina service station joins three existing service stations in Victoria, with plans to expand further in the future.
